A Child of God
i thank you god for special people that pass through my everydays,
you bring them along to inspire us and move us in many ways,
i can see the work of your hands, even when others can't see it themselves,
to help bring back qualities we knew we once had, ones we stored away up on
the shelves,
for whatever reason we packed them away, leaving them behind,
these gifts that u gave us, that make us who we are, that affect our heart and our
mind,
in pain and affliction it is so easy to forget who we truly are,
but when i sit in your presence, lord, you remind me, i'm still a child of god,
the stillness and peace that u give me, i could never ask for more,
for the secrets you whisper straight through to my heart, i'm so in love with you,
lord,
i remember what u told me, what can mere man do to break our mortal soul?
absolutely nothing, when u have the almighty by your side, for in turn he makes
us whole,
