A Day Not Ending
A pebble
strikes your
window pane,
softly in the
night
While you
are gently
sound of asleep,
and tucked away
all tight
The wind
it blows
so subtly,
through the
trees it sweeps
I hate to
come, in this
the night, and
steal you from
your sleep
But to
my dreams
I couldn’t go,
for my heart it
could not rest
It started
me up and
out of bed,
and got me
quickly dressed
It brought
me down outside
your house, the
pebble it also
threw
For I
can’t let you
end the day,
without hearing,
I love you
