Love Poem: A dream, a grief

A dream, a grief

A dream, a grief, my heart does ache, No blood is seen, yet pain does make. Everyone flees, except one face, A teen, who stays, yet holds no embrace.
Though she said no, my pain resides, Hidden deep, where none can divide. Tears fall, unheard, unseen, She minds not, another love is gleaned.
Am I losing grip? I ponder and sigh, Her pity lacks love, a heartbreaking guise. She turns away, and I'm left to mourn, In darkness, where shadows are born.
Birds' gentle voices whisper through trees, The world sleeps, even the breeze. Then, a nearby noise, a sudden reappearance, A brief goodbye to a fleeting romance.
She draws near, my legs tremble with fear, Our lips touch, briefly, then disappear. I wake, and tears fill my cup, The dream's a grief, forever I'll sup.
