A Lonely Star
‘You are the tea leaves I am the tea pot I the tiny snowflake and you the snow’ _Maria Williams
days nights now empty
how would she carry on
without him by her side
life had been a roller coaster
together they faced it all
she's left to carry on
they’d been through so much
over decades shared challenges
life would never be the same
they somehow always prevailed
because they forever stood as one
suddenly she stood alone
she's now a dried out star
he had been her sky
he had been her sky
