A Love Lost
Sometimes I sit and look out into the night,
straing at the moon and stars shining ever so bright.
And I dream of a love, one that was so different and strong,
and in an instant before I knew it, it was over and gone.
I wonder why it ended because I was madly in love with you.
Now I sit here alone and wondering if there was something different
I needed to do.
I remember your smile and that twinkle you had in your eyes.
Now all I have are the memories and when I think of them it makes me cry.
You told me that you loved me and together we would be so strong,
and I find it hard to believe as I sit here wondering why that you are really and
truely gone.
People say its hard to replace a love that was so strong,
and I'm here to say its true especially never knowing what went wrong.
I guess as time goes by and the months turn into years, I'll remember
the good times we had, as i try to fight back the tears.
So remember this you will always and forever be in my heart,
because knowone will ever replace you even though I'll never know why we drifted
apart.
