A Lover's Moon
Moonbeams trickle down to earth
from Luna up above;
lacing night with musing mirth
inciting lilts of love.
Couples gaze upon her face
this yellow orb on high;
clinging tight in love’s embrace,
and breathe a silent sigh
Kisses in the dark of night
are soft upon their lips;
moonlight’s glow, the time is right
as lover’s hearts eclipse.
Only Luna is aware
the secrets that they keep;
passions shared between this pair
while world is fast asleep.
