Love Poem: A Man Must Curse

A Man Must Curse

A man must curse, my lady fair,
But if dawn’s light still finds you there,
His pain filled words become a prayer...
Like violet laced maiden hair,
Soft fragrance filling morning air.

A man must curse, each new day’s dare,
For terror follows “strength” to lair,
This two edged sword cannot make right...
The flowers he wove in the night
Come day may fill your heart with fright.

A man must curse, though lady smile,
For it’s a long way down the aisle,
To trust himself is tough as well...
Potential errors, private hell,
The nightmares of an infidel.

A man must curse, for it’s the truth,
There’s gravity inside his ruth,
That impacts others all around...
His fault if he’s too tightly wound,
When he feels forced to stand his ground.

A man must curse through his delight,
That you feel safer in the night,
His demons must be kept at bay...
His path cannot be coward’s way,
If he’s to dream that you will stay.

A man must curse, embrace his fate,
But woman can authenticate,
Please trust the love you feel for him...
(Although he works out at a gym).
Let your prayer be love’s synonym.
