A Poet's Duty
A poet's duty,
is to write from their heart.
I have been told,
beauty is a matter of opinion.
When writing from the heart,
the writer expresses themselves.
Many different topics,
from many different poets.
One's pen may write love another sci-fi,
very different yet beautiful to their readers.
Poets cannot be put in a box,
since they are creative beings.
Let the ink from their pens flow,
let the creativity flow.
What comes out in the end,
will be a poem from their very soul.
