Love Poem: A Poet's Pain

A Poet's Pain

Darling, if you’d only let me explain
I’ll satisfy your very heart’s desire.
My love, allow me to remove my pain
and rekindle our passion’s sleeping fire
before the ends of time begin to tire.
I can’t explain all the mistakes of yore,
the purple days when rain and hail did pour.
Pain sometimes was a black venom spoken.
So, let’s not do anything as before.
Our hearts will remain again unbroken.
