A Rough Haiku (For Jew)
A diamond in
The rough wears common disguise
Nothing shines like stars
I should have loved her
My diamond in the rough,
O pity me blind
Forgive me, too late
Time polished my diamond
In the rough at last
And I cannot hope
To reclaim this diamond
In the rough I lost
A diamond in
The rough prejudice eyes see
Not heart of darkness
Only fools compare
The treasured diamond
In the rough to stars
I should have loved her
My diamond in the rough
Still shines on my mind.
