A Second Chance In Life
Come to me with ease and alleviation,
bring heartfelt moments you learned-
For I know many of hours of contemplation,
and for your strength, I’ve longed and yearned.
I knew from the moment of your creation,
you’d give me a lifetime of tingling sensations-
We started out craving each other’s romance...
...for life had given me a second chance.
When I was told I had only two months to live,
I knew not of any joy that would come my way-
I knew I had so much more love to give,
how hard saying goodbye would be my final day.
All the things I’d ask for you to forgive,
for you’d been so compassionate and supportive-
It was a miracle the cancer did not advance...
...for life had given me a second chance.
So now I live with gratitude and appreciation,
for God delighted me with a fresh start-
Now my life had become a true celebration,
and my true love would still be in my heart.
With much praying and sincere meditation,
I realized how much you had been an inspiration-
And to think it all started with one single glance...
