A Tender Rose That Was Crushed
A Tender Rose That Was Crushed
What sweet rose, did you dare to crush
in your hate and maddening rush,
with dark heart demanding it all
can you, that horror now recall?
What tears fell, while you raced to dance
on shattered remains of romance,
as misery and its black march
set her love's thirsty lips to parch?
What wicked score did you dare keep
when nights so pained, her soul did weep
with sorrows that have no good end
her dear life she then chose to end?
What sweet rose, did you dare to crush
in your hate and maddening rush,
with dark heart demanding it all
can you, that horror now recall?
