A Time of Love and Lust
A great storm arose, the raindrops fell; fierce winds whipped up the dust
It was then that I recalled to mind, a time of love and lust
The storm, it had no mercy - the winds were raging too
The rain had blotted out the sky, no sun was shining through
Our love was chilled until that storm; we had few words to speak
The fire had dimmed between us, no sparks from week to week
The storm blew in and took our home; destroyed all that we had
Mementos of the past we shared, now lost - our hearts were sad
Though time did render our passion cold, we had each other still
No matter what was lost to us, our love was ever real
We held each other tight that night, though sad - we did not pine
We fell into each other's arms; we lost all sense of time
We gazed into each other's eyes and, suddenly! we knew
It was through the storm's destruction that our passion blazed anew!
We can and will rebuild our dream from the rubble left behind
We'll gather our strength and forge ahead, and courage we will find
We'll find again the things we lost; we'll gather up the stones
We'll work through blood, through tears and pain, our fingers to the bones
We'll find a way to start again; we will not be afraid
Together we will carry on until all debts are paid
The storm destroyed the material things that built up over time
That filled our lives and put our love and passion in a bind
But now we know that never again will we give up the chance
To keep our love and passion strong - we'll make time for romance
