A U-Turn
Jam packed little brown suitcase
Post cards along the way
Scenic route seemed right to race
Under the sun a thirsty runaway
Travailing down the road
Sign on truck heavy load
Passing by written like wash me
A little hand a cross Jesus loves thee
moment Thoughts of turning around
The world to see it can be found
Driving down the byways thinking
A road house the stop for drinking
Broken glass the hard times are here
The running car a getaway
Grabbing the girl an excited fear
Maybe she will help show the gateway
Toll both ahead I have to pay this time
Handed change paper fold maybe a rhyme
God loves you turn around please
A small laugh when read into the breeze
Broken heart there she goes lassie sped
Got rid of some junk need a place to stay
A little more class ran the chassis red
Turning into the hotel a friendly café
Unpacked to stay a little thru
A shot to many heart disarray
Grasping the bible to my dismay
Scribbled in black and blue
U-turn heed post cards along the way
Listen now I will show you the way
Hearken to me lose not your own soul
For I have finished first place I love you so
