A Wife's Wish
Oh How I wish he would clean up his mess,
so for once I could do less.
He leaves his clothes all over the floor,
forgets to shut his underwear drawer.
He drinks milk straight from the jug,
tracks mud all over the new rug
A new roll of toilet paper in the old one’s place,
I usually have to replace.
Dinner will take an hour to prepare,
yet he devours it as if he don’t care.
Then after dinner he simply walks away,
and in his chair is where he’ll lay.
But the thing for which he is renown,
is never putting the toilet seat down.
There’s not much I ask him to do,
just his manly duties which are very few.
Take out trash and mow the grass,
car repairs and pump the gas.
There are times he makes me so mad,
but he is a great husband and dad.
