A Wink
I write upon the tablet of your bleeding soul
For another man’s bold kiss you left me
Alone, my heart throbbing inside,
And, I cried for your touch.
Solitude drenched in bitterness my aching heart
I sought refuge in empty page with ink.
I wrote upon one tablet piercing words, I think
You might imagine since we are apart
Now telling your presence how much,
When you left, my soul died
But I am deign to play again in major key
My heart will be anew completely whole.
I will write upon the tablet another role
With a new exciting lover t’will be
One in whom I will not confide
Secrets we shared and such,
For my mind then, my dear, will be so clear and smart
I will have left on this blank page...a wink!
