A World That Lives In Me
It's funny, the world we live in--a world of
family, enemies and friends. The planet is a beautiful
place; it recycles everything and leaves nothing to go to waste.
But it's the people whom I don't understand--the people
who were given this Earth by God's hand.
We have water, the moon and sun. We have love, happiness
and fun. We all know what the problems are, but we're not fixing
them well, not so far. We know there's poverty, hunger, hate,
wars, guns, and fate. We know about fences, walls--we know about
it all.
We know we cannot really trust each other, be it
sons, daughters, wives, husbands, sisters or brothers.
But, for some reason, we are refusing to come as one
together.
We live in places that give us our names; just because
I'm African, Mexican, or British, we are still all the same. There's no
difference, in the human race; we all are living in the same place.
The craziness that is going around is like what's in the mind of a
clown. Many laughs but nothing funny; we are ruining ourselves
and our Earth for the love of money.
The same craziness is affecting the environment. One day
we will be wondering where the food, the water, and the
animals went. It's clear to see that we are destroying the
world and history.
It's a travesty what we have done; we are the people
who I loved by the sun. We can help each other to get
by, but we don't, and I don't know why. We fight wars because
of the places we were born; how much longer will that
go on?
I refuse to live a life of the same kind; I have a life of
living and loving in God's name. I don't discriminate against
anyone. I live life like the rays of the Sun that shares with
everyone. I live in a world that I would like to. I live
in a world that lives in me.
