After I Depart
AFTER I DEPART
The sun will shine brighter tomorrow when
The azure petals of the sleeping sky will open,
I’ll see the glint in your dove eyes of blue mirror
The reflection of my fiery love there will flicker.
In the twilight hours when the cold sun will set
Placid peace from your horizon my soul will get
For then I’ll find an adoring niche in your heart
Where I’ll dwell with my dreams after I depart.
