All Because of You
"Poetry is a life-cherishing force. For poems are not words, after all, but fires for the cold, ropes let down to the lost, something as necessary as bread in the pockets of the hungry" - Mary Oliver
A cushion for the soul.
Here when we are needy the most.
An aid to all who feel broken.
Hearts get heavy; man can be selfish yet once committed, the healing process begins.
Life hands us lemons, unable to squeeze,
so we beat them against the wall until the seeds bleed.
Born resilient, born tougher than nails,
for we are as strong as we want to be.
Lost to relations, by chance we meet,
for the faint-hearted were built as soft as 'mallows.
Tears would fall, deprived we are of sleep and the mind will begin its overthinking.
Since pain wants to be felt,
we let it take control, in us it will consume,
yet we let it do so,
for better days always come.
And once ready, proceed we shall, effortlessly,
all because of you.
