Alone With An Angel
When we're alone
and I'm looking into your eyes,
I feel that this must be what it's like
to stand outside the walls of Heaven,
looking in through a window
at an Angel inside
When we're alone
and you're holding my hand in yours,
I feel that this must be what it's like
to have been in a cold and lonely place
and then to feel the warmth
of an Angel's smile
When we're alone
and I'm kissing your soft sweet lips,
I feel that this must be what it's like
to have been alone, lost and starving
then been fed a wonderful meal
prepared by an Angel
When we're alone
and I'm touching your soft smooth skin,
I feel that this must be what it's like
to have been blind, deaf and mute since birth
and then have my senses restored
by an Angel's touch
When we're alone
and you tell me that you love me,
I feel that this must be what it's like
to have died, then been lifted up
and flown to Heaven
on the wings of an Angel
