Already Lost In Your Eyes

The moonlight spills across the pavement of the sidewalk.
Our footsteps echo in the dark.
I’m not quite certain so my hands are in my pockets.
My imagination or a spark?
You whisper softly, your voice warm in my ear.
	I can’t remember my replies.
I can feel you sighing but I cannot seem to hear.
I’m already lost in your eyes.

The shadows kneel before the twinkling of the starlight.
They cannot hide the way I feel.
I’m so uncertain for I cannot read emotions
Nor understand what they reveal.
You step closer until I can feel your heartbeat,
A voice, I’m told, that never lies.
I wish to answer but there’s no way I can speak.
I’m already lost in your eyes.

When you’re beside me there’s no need for words or motions.
I’m content to listen to your sighs.
I feel that I am falling, drowning in emotions.
I’m already lost in your eyes.

Your arms are now around me, I feel the need to tremble.
The world around us now is gone.
We bid farewell to moonlight as the sun greets the horizon.
Our love is warmed by the dawn.
You smile gently as our heartbeats join together.
	No longer solitary lines.
Moments in a lifetime, I wish they were forever.
I’m already lost in your eyes.
I’m already lost in your eyes...
