ALWAYS ON MY MIND

ALWAYS ON MY MIND
When Willie Nelson wrote that song, He must have know I’d got it wrong. He somehow knew of my neglect. For now I’ve had time to reflect, The many things he failed to do Are what I failed to do for you. I did not love you as I ought. I did not need to, so I thought. My work was always in the way. I seldom asked, “How was your day?” And now it’s too late; you are gone And I have time to ponder on The things I should have said and done. Told you you were the only one. For every lonely day I find That you are always on my mind.
