Always On My Mind
Not a day passes that I do not think of you,
when I open my eyes in the morning;
when I am going about my daily activities,
and when I lay my head upon my pillow.
You were taken from this world too soon love,
we had just begun shaping our life;
and had lots of dreams and dreams to create,
I often ask God why he took you.
It has been a struggle going on my love,
I hit rock bottom and wished for death;
but a fire burned within and I heard your voice,
because you were on my mind each second.
You told me to climb out of my pit of despair,
find the courage and strength and I did;
live life with purpose and know that I wait for you,
beyond those golden gates above I wait.
