Amy
Amy
I know a man who has never loved another;
He was just a late teen when he gave her his heart;
Like others who could just outgrow,
Never did he forget his love – Amy.
So he has longed and is now beginning “old.”
Tried marriage once as a middle aged man,
His wife wasn’t kind, didn’t know
His heart would always belong to – Amy.
Oh, he tried to find her in his way.
She married someone and went overseas,
She doesn’t know, I suppose, he still pines for her.
He’s 60, still dreaming of soulmate – Amy.
Should he find her, he wouldn’t care,
If she had changed to fat and graying hair,
He’d be blind to anything but the love in his eyes,
Always seeing her as “beautiful” – Amy
