Love Poem: An angel left her windows open

An angel left her windows open

The eyes are windows to the soul;
That’s what they say, or so I’m told.

Your soul stares back at me, beneath the snow; through icy drops of salty rain,
stained glass fills the window pane.

Nothing else could strike me dumb,
But this much beauty ties my tongue.

Your voice reverberates like a song;
that warms me up like summer time, and midday sun.

It’s like my life begins and ends, with each and every flirtatious glance.

You break me, make me, fill me, drain me… and when I’m hurt; somehow you save me,

We clasp our fingers hand in hand, a friendship lasts where romance ends.
I’m glad we have another chance;
Let’s never walk, if we can dance.

And if one day we know we can’t
we’ll drop together, to the ground.
This is where our lives began, we start as dust and so we end.

I’ll stay with you, till we are dead.
A love like ours should never end,

Because of you, I won’t take less.
If a heart can hurt, then it can mend.
