An Angel Like Mine
An Angel Like Mine
Looking back o’er years gone by,
And phases of my life.
I realize some decisions I made,
Impacted both me and my wife.
Some of them were good ones,
Some of them were bad.
But at the time and for a while,
They were all the experiences we had.
I traveled here and traveled there,
My wife always in tow,
E’en though it wasn’t what she’d prefer,
She was always willing and ready to go.
Some may never understand,
The closeness we seem to share,
But I am pleased and graciously blessed,
Waking each morning to find her still there.
I have not always been worthy,
Of the love and praise she has gi’en,
But knowing now how blessed I am,
Makes me glad this life I am living.
I suppose the thought I strive to express,
About the thing that makes me this way,
Is the love of an Angel Like Mine,
To share with me every day.
