An Empty Husk
We now dwell on different planes
Yet still I hear your voice.
Our parting, it was riven
Neither made the choice.
A dark shadow claimed you
I raged and burned inside,
Why were we forsaken
Oceans, have I cried.
Bereft, what am I to do
Heartbroken, I'm alone.
Where do I go from here,
You were my rock, my home.
Now I drift upon this cloud
Of grief and endless pain.
When you were taken from me,
An empty husk remained.
