An Endless Life of Maybe's By Lessiemarie Johnson
WHEN I WAS SIXTEEN-AN ENDLESS LIFE OF MAYBE
I WANTED TO SUCCEED FOR ALL TO SEE
A CHEERLEADER, A STAFF WRITER-A TEACHER
A MAD SCIENTIST ON CREATURE FEATURE
SO MANY THINGS FLYING AROUND IN YOUR HEAD
SOMETIMES IT EVEN MADE ME SCARED
A DOCTOR, A LAWYER, AN OFFICIER IN ALL IT'S GLORY
WITH PAD AND PEN--ANALYZE-NOW DON'T WORRY
WITH THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD-I DREW A CONCLUSION
JUST CANNOT STAY HERE IN SECLUSION
THE ONLY BAD IS TO HAVE THEM REFUSE YOU
WHAT IS THERE ON THIS GREAT EARTH I CANNOT DO
RUNNING EVERY DAY-MAKING IT TO THE FIFTH ROUND
CLEARING MY MIND MAKING ALL EQUATIONS SOUND
DRESSING MY VERY BEST, WHO KNOWS WHAT I WILL FIND
MAKING SILENT VOWS THAT BIND
COMING TO A REAL SUMMURIZATION
THAT TODAY IS MY REALIZATION
THE MOST IMPOSSIBLE TASK IS WHAT I WILL DO
MAKING MY WHOLE LIFE, FRONT TO BACK-ALL NEW
