An Old Couple
An old couple sits facing west
Having a picnic, they are blessed
They overlook a short, small stream
They each have some frozen ice-cream
To jump in the stream is their test
Daring to wade, they surely jest
Bugs do bite them, a real life pest
His heart’s hers, to always redeem
An old couple
They enjoy the view, just the best
He would get something off his chest
Marriage proposal, he did beam
Romance sure ran wild, it did seem
They saw the sunset facing west
An old couple
