An Ordinary Book

The pages are tattered and torn A cookbook used long before I was born Unknown spills on almost every page Now they are yellowed and brittle with age... Full of wonderful recipes she used each day Part of my memories of her that stay She turned the pages, I can see her there Her hands worn, her face lined with care.. I cherish this battered Betty Crocker book From it our mother taught us all to cook Kitchen memories of laughter and fun And the love of family when day is done...
