Anchor
The mid-day sun scorches me with its glare
I long to find a place in your shadow
The surge of agony wind I can’t bear
I look for a shade in your calm meadow.
In the tranquil forest I seek relief
Endless winding pathway takes me nowhere
I wish I turn into a rustling leaf
Fly in the fervent wind to where you are.
The falling sky pours torrent of dismay
In the flood my abode lies abandoned
In the storm I’m lost in the forlorn bay
Drift to your heart to anchor, to be owned.
I want to find me where I used to be
In the hold of your love, don’t forsake me.
