Giving lust free reign opened your heart to pain,

Yet, fantasy's seeds were all planted in vain,
stomped underfoot faster than egos can sow.

and with no anchor of trust, love's free to drift.
Betrayed by betrayal, you drown your sorrow
in a sea of tears, where the currents run swift.
The pain mystifies like a scene from Macbeth,
for when there are no answers, you've failed the test.
Anxieties climb higher with every breath;
until you realize you're not like the rest.
