Angel
Before you came my life had bid farewell.
Emotions ripped and reeled my heart apart.
Forever brought its clever carousel.
Around and ‘round wound sanity’s fresh start –
The past of chasing loves alas resigned.
New freedom asked what life I’d live apart.
Entwining hopes and dreams still undefined.
God sent you here to heal me from hurt’s pain.
All heaven surely knew our souls aligned.
Sweet messenger from God, you soothed my brain.
Attending every thought, your strength stayed near.
When you embraced my heart, I lost all pain.
By providence you entered my life sphere.
Your friendship and support had made me whole.
Designing brand new dreams we two stayed near.
You grasped my very soul within your soul.
The spirit in your heart inscribed my love.
Two halves had now alas become one whole.
The angel in my life beloved above.
