Another You and Me
Another day, I thought I'd play,
With what I say, why the fray.
If you think, maybe you'd thank,
Instead of break, perhaps to frank.
But what's true in all I do,
To believe in you and make it through.
I take my time with each line,
Lets unwine, can I make it fine.
As soft as silk, love that never welts;
Love you still, more than what's felt.
Yet nothing gone in the evening,
It's sinking deep within this feeling.
Whole hearted, but you foregot;
So you parted, and love me not.
How it strains as I try to retain,
From going insane and you're so vane.
So another you, that I thought was true,
Why's love so cruel to leave me blue.
Another life that was, a memory that clings,
The chance at love; another day it brings.
