Appreciation
At break of dawn, I was awoken
My eyes open and vision restored
I looked around to observe the beauty all around
Giving thought to that blessing
I realized I was chosen.
Chosen for what I asked myself
Then I realized had been chosen
Picked from a dozen
To live another day
To fight a battle, to conqueror, to overcome
To achieve, to hope, to dream, to succeed
To give, to love, to forgive, to appreciate.
Appreciation the word we forget to say time and time again
To appreciate the purpose of living
To come to the realization that life has worth
To grow, to embrace trials without failure and fear
Today is the time for living
Take time to say, a short pray
And appreciate that you were CHOSEN.
