As a Star
Away, away where you are
From where you stay as far
As glamorous as distant as a star
Way, way from down here
I stare up at you, thinking you’re near
I try to touch you, I stretch my hand
I try in vain, then I realize
That you’re far away from where I stand
Your greatness made you look near to my eyes
When I look up at you, I remember my vileness
Then dare no more question why
From you far and away am I?
It’s not your fault not to notice nor see
For you’re so great, something as trifle as me
As I can’t reach up to you,
Nor have you down to me
I devise a new way for a love this far
A Love as glamorous as distant as a star
The only way possible for such love
Is staring from far, staring shall be enough
