At Last, My Own Love
I looked, looked, and looked – but all in vinegar vain.
I searched, searched, and searched – but found no love.
So sad, so sapped and no longer feeling cerebrally certain,
You miraculously materialized – my own heaven-sent dove.
My happy heart races at the sound of your voice.
My merry mind leaps at the sight of my cherished crush.
My satisfied soul swirls at my providence-inspired choice.
My buoyant body ignites at the feel of your tender touch.
Oh my good gosh! The amorous ache…it hurts – so sweetly;
And the fragrant fire flaming within…it burns – so soothing.
My delightful desire sends round sensuous spikes – so warmly.
Leaving me wet and spent in ecstasy’s prison – so enthralling.
To whom or what shall I ever dare liken you, my Maple tree?
To others, falling as one, like us – or to others that fall apart below par?
To the sun, the moon, the stars – or to all galaxy-orbiting three?
No, my diamond diadem; by all, you stand head above the highest bar.
