At the Brink
Drop by drop, you whet
Until my cloth of emotions is totally wet
With merciless force you spray
Till you drive antagonists astray
When clouds appear darkest
You show your sinister smile
To insidiously encourage and egg on
Oh my gracious you are senile!
Senile enough to catalyze and push on
A reaction whose end point you know
Only to leave me at the brink
Of a pond i heavily loathe
With its dirty waters for me to drink
Until God-knows-when i reach
The envisaged priceless bank
Where the law of love is not breached
