Attraction
Attraction
What is love? I often wonder
Since it comes in different kinds
Should the feeling too be different
Since it springs from different minds?
One thing that I know for certain
And maybe one might disagree
Love will be without a meaning
If it does not appeal to me
’Cause we all know that a concept
Devoid of practicality
Even for the most illiterate
Is simply just a theory
And a theory is abstract
And abstract things are just assumed
So if love is not for certain
Then I reckon we’re all doomed
But I must admit, I’ve noticed
Well, I’ve experienced, better said
That real love is not elusive
Yes, it’s true, it is not dead
But the thing that’s quite depressing
Even though so many yearn
For real love and real affection
They just don’t know where to turn
And the kinds of love are plenty
Everyone can just dig in
But the funny thing about it
Most prefer it genuine
What I’ve learned, and that was helpful
And I know this for a fact
Love that’s honest, true and faithful
Will often of its kind attract.
