Love Poem: Bedroom Doors

Bedroom Doors

Bedroom doors
Where once
lovers entered

Vows taken
at face value

Bedroom doors-
Where clothes hung
Triple X, slim no more

Bedroom doors-
Scenes once of
fantastic love

Bedroom doors-
Cold, old, cracked paint
White, useless
Nevermore

Bedroon doors;
Once swung with glee
Love and sex opened thee

Bedroom doors;
Contain an old, groaning
air conditioner

Bedroom doors;
Contain a groaning
heart

Bedroom doors;
Frame so many
Old, gone lovers

Bedroom doors
Peeling white paint

Reminders of a
peeling heart...

Bedroom doors
Open to the past

Bedroom doors-
Seen my lover last

Bedroom doors-
Now merely doors

No longer entranceways
to "Love Evermore"

Bedroom doors-
Symbol now
of a life in defeat

Bedroom doors-
Where I'll pass once more

Bedroom doors
Once held lovers
wriggling in passion

Bedroom doors-
Now walls around
My nightmares

Of loves lost
Loves unoptioned
Loves remembered
Loves sadly forgotten

Bedroom doors-
These f''___'en
Bedroom doors

They are still solid
Unconcerned
Silent witnesses to
Love and tragedy

To vows and
broken hearts

These bedroom doors;
One hundred years old

These bedroom doors
Wiser than me

These bedroom doors;
How many hands I held
As I led to my "etchings"

These bedroom doors
Echo now
My loneliness
My emptiness

These bedroom doors
reverberate with
the past- Sweet and sour...

These bedroom doors...
are made of wood...
Oh, how I wish...
My heart were too."
