Before I Shut My Eyes
The time has come and the sandman strikes,
Putting to rest events of today and tonight,
And while I slumber I hope to dream of you,
For when I wake and see your face,
I still believe in 'dreams do come true'.
But before I shut my eyes,
I pray the lord send his angels to watch over you as you sleep.
So dear Lord forgive me of evil deeds,
And thank you for the life you given me,
Help me to do good things,
And please bless and watch over my sweets,
May you send your angels to watch over us,
Our families and friends as we sleep.
