Being In Love
Falling in love starts out crazy, saturates your life, permeates your soul, and creates a new you.
It gloriously envelopes you which is terrific, when the object of your desire loves you too.
True love is capable of taking you over so completely that reason gives up trying to get through.
At first you cannot hear her any way, and when you do, you resent her, and shut her down.
In a few months your personal wants, needs, desires, and goals fall by the wayside, virtually disappear.
There is a glow about your face, and a spring in your step that you have never had before, and may never have again.
Your mind tries her best to alert you, but you are completely lost in the terrific feeling of being in love.
This is why some people switch out mates every six years or so, to experience this insane, “new” feeling.
The mind is not easy to squelch, but you can do it, if you want to, and you do.
You do not want to hear things that are practical, or futuristic. “Being in love” is totally in the now.
Your practical dendrites yell and scream and try to reach you in your dreams while you are dreaming of him or her.
You may be asleep, but you still get angry when the mind tries to boss you around.
The only thing that is important to you right now, the thing you live for, and breathe for is being in love.
Isn’t that just dandy? Yes, it certainly is, until it isn’t.
