Best Rondeau - Ice Has Melted
Ice has melted, river gurgling
White and pink phlox fresh and sparkling
Gone with you were lovely small larks
Back in your eyes those speaking sparks
Hope in our breast sweet and stirring
Life is always a train running
Some time sincere some time cunning
In tide and ebb lie light and dark
Ice has melted
Warm day ends and light is dimming
In moonlit night hearts are brimming
Life calls us in starlit dark park
Enticing spring in crescent arc
Nature is so self-fulfilling
Ice has melted
