Best Year of My Life
The greatest year of my life
Contains days that bring elation
Pure joy and love abound
Surrounding my very body, infused
I lovingly asked my girlfriend
To finally be my wife
We were united with future hope
We shopped in a mall with glee
Finding presents of memories
Love empowered that loving day
Brought complete joy to our hearts
Happiness was riding deep within us
Finally the horse drawn carriage
Going through downtown
I asked her there with a poem
And with a ring we were one
This is a day we’ll never forget
I was just at a tender young age
I was only twenty-two (22)
