Betrayer
I am the betrayer
i hold my head down
away from life and light that may seek to see me
I am ashamed with myself
and all that i did
for i went against the one person,
i betrayed the one person,
who will never forgive me:
Myself.
I betrayed my heart and my soul and my mind and my conscience
i threw all of them away
when i told the rest of me it was okay
I ignored the only person i could trust
and left it in the dust
i now have to clean it up
oh, how stupid young love makes us.
It was I who left this mess for me to deal with,
when he left.
Now i can either sweep it under the rug
or let it haunt my heart and my soul and my mind and my consience forever
like i so deserve.
What more can i say,
I am the betrayer of all that has betrayed.
