Beyond Belief
A Dedication to Leanne, my beloved wife.
Beyond Belief
Harken,
Heed these words,
They are more than mere sounds,
Trumpeting make-belief ideas,
They will be as rain and sunlight,
To a wilting flower,
Love will heal you,
Beyond all beliefs.
Words that sound over the top,
From a madman possessed by love,
Unleashed into torrents of devotion,
Burning in fire all consuming,
On the edge of an unknown mystery,
And yet,
Experiences so universal,
Divine and transformational,
Beyond all beliefs.
My love for her,
Is beyond all belief,
Over the top,
Under the lowest,
Above the highest,
Extreme, as a cyclone,
Wild, wild elementals,
Soothed by most delicate feelings,
Delicious, sublime feelings,
A paradox of ultimate polarities,
Beyond all beliefs.
God created cosmos as a love affair,
That cosmos could have eyes to see,
Ears to hear,
Consciousness to apprehend and appreciate,
And God created man and woman,
As embodied lover and beloved,
To discover bliss in Union,
So it is in my love for Leanne,
As I see cosmic woman,
In her astounding beauty and wisdom,
My soul drinks her as love of all loves,
Beyond all beliefs.
So it is with my beloved,
Leanne, my beloved wife,
Companion unparalleled among humans,
Lover who reflects back my devotion,
She, who I worship,
Who I finally after long long travails,
Enduring quests into countless dramas,
Seeking for the one beloved,
Who would totally surrender to the bride chamber,
Mutually elevate our love to that place,
Beyond all beliefs.
As surrender to divine yet human love,
Overpowers, overwhelms, subsumes,
Over rules my substitutive habits,
Shatters defences constructed by past trauma,
Obliterates acquired safe mediocrity,
And thresholds my heart into fires of passion,
Life transfigures into portals,
Of future great deeds,
Borne of wildest, liberated love,
Beyond all beliefs.
This poem is an opening stanza,
Announcing and heralding,
A newly engendered and empowered,
Love beyond all beliefs,
Mystically bursting through dark undergrowth,
Seeking now to spread light and warmth,
To those who can openly receive,
Who can harken,
And heed,
Words that are more than mere sounds,
Words that offer a way to touch Divinity,
Words that can heal souls,
That can inspire courage and devotion,
That can open sacred dimensions of love,
Beyond all beliefs.
