BEYOND THE FACADE
In the realm of human desire, not all wishes are granted.
A soul worn weary need not succumb to desperation's weight,
But rather, find solace in stillness, and await the divine hand.
When turmoil strikes, the heart must be a fortress, brave and strong.
I've wandered through life's spheres, and witnessed the human plight,
Nothing ravages the soul like loneliness, a desolate and endless night.
In pursuit of wisdom, I've walked the fine line between the sacred and the profane,
Venturing into the "unholy place" where revelry and joy entwine.
I sat among friends and strangers, sharing laughter and tales,
As we savored roasted chicken, soft drinks, and the warmth of camaraderie that prevails.
The dance floor swirled with vibrant life, as young hearts beat as one,
Their abandon and joy, a testament to the human spirit, unencumbered and free.
But what struck me most, was the unity and kindness that they shared,
A sense of community and belonging, that transcended the boundaries of creed and care.
Oh, the irony! That those deemed "sinners" by some, should exhibit more love and light,
Than those who claim righteousness, yet harbor suspicion and cold, hard spite.
May we learn from the beauty of their humanity, and strive to emulate their kindness and generosity,
Rather than condemning them, may we find common ground, and celebrate our shared humanity.
