I do not take for granted
I wouldn’t even dare
Your love and your devotion

Of the fact that they remain the same

The evidence is showing
I can’t ignore the impact of
Your affection on my essence

To being in your presence
An honor, that is what it is
An advantage and a gift
It wasn’t until I was blessed
That I could feel a shift
All doubts and fears have disappeared
I stare life in the face
Even loneliness and sadness
Have vanished in a haze
