Booknotes
Look inside the book I gave
There's little notes in there
On random pages all throughout
For you to find out where
They may be hidden by the crease
That's all I'll let you know
But there's something on a certain page
That interrupts the flow
It's written there in bright red ink
It stands out pretty clear
It's just a small acknowledgement
It comes just once a year
To let you know that on that day
I'll think about you more
And sing for you that little song
That millions sang before
The returning birds will croon with me
For it occurs in Spring
But I'll only hear the bluebird's song
It's for her heart that I sing
