Both Eyes Were Blue
Both Eyes Were Blue
Both eyes were blue and stood so sweet
Perfect woman would ever want to meet
When we danced, did call her my doll
And knocked me dizzy off of the wall.
Met my love in merry month of May
On beach while ocean seemed to spray
Softly on sandals we wore upon our feet
Beautiful hair was red just like a beet.
Prettiest smile that I ever had seen
Each time betwixt and also between
She ended up knocking me over
While we kissed there on soft clover.
After we were married for many years
From my eyes often fell a few tears
Thanked God to heaven she had gone
Moving memories of her still think upon.
